Erle de Lanooi

Erle de Lanooi, born on the Caribbean island of Curacao, is a multi-talented actor and model who has captivated audiences with his charm, charisma, and versatile talent. He is a quadrilingual actor, effortlessly conversing in Papiamento, Spanish, English and Dutch.

At the age of 17, Erle left his native Curacao to pursue his studies Biological Basis of Behavior and Spanish Literature at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. 

For several years, Erle made a name for himself as a successful model. His good looks allowed him to grace the pages of numerous magazines and walk the runways of some of the world’s most prestigious fashion shows. However, even during his modeling career, Erle’s heart remained set on pursuing a career in acting.

Erle embarked on his acting journey at ‘Theatreschool De Trap’ in Amsterdam and further honed his craft with an immersive course in the renowned Ivana Chubbuck Technique, under the guidance of the esteemed Romy Irene. This invaluable experience equipped him with a unique technique that he skillfully incorporates into his acting.

He became a prominent figure in the world of advertising, appearing in commercials that aired globally. Erle had cameos in esteemed productions such as “THE WAY”, directed by Emilio Estevez and “MADAME JEANETTE” directed by Paula van der Oest. Over the last years he appeared in numerous well-known Dutch series and classic soap operas.

Recently he took on the role of ‘Alphons’ in the critically acclaimed series “MOCRO MAFFIA”, directed by David Eilander and Hesdy Lonwijk.

Erle has recently completed his most recent project, portraying the character Mark in the Australian feature film ‘JIMPA’, directed by Sophie Hyde. This film is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah, USA, in January 2025.
