Ghino Girbaran

Ghino Girbaran, a dynamic individual of Surinamese, Javanese, and Hindustani heritage fluent in English, Surinamese and Dutch. His journey, marked by resilience, passion, and an insatiable hunger for diverse experiences, has taken him from the world of acting to presenting, from daredevil stunts to the international stage of Thaiboxing.

Ghino’s foray into the world of stunts began under the tutelage of Hammy de Beukelaer, a luminary in the stunt industry. The relentless training and daring feats shaped Ghino into a stunts phenomenon, recognized for his fearless performances in film stunts that span across Europe.

Not content with merely conquering physical challenges, Ghino sought academic grounding in his craft. His studies at the Film Actors Academy Amsterdam (FAAAM) culminated in 2014, setting the stage for a career that seamlessly weaves together acting, presenting, and stunt work.

His early acting roles in films such as ‘ROFFA,’ directed by Bobby Boermans, ‘VAN GOD LOS,’ directed by Erik de Bruyn, and the Dutch youth series ‘SPANGAS,’ directed by Nick Jongerius, showcased Ghino’s versatility and acting prowess. 

The turning point came when Ghino was invited to host the popular kids show ‘CHECKPOINT BASECAMP’ on NPO. This marked the beginning of his journey as a presenter, a role he embraced with infectious energy. Soon, Ghino found himself at the forefront of various presenting projects, captivating audiences with his engaging style.

Ghino is a dedicated Thaiboxer, traversing the globe for high-stakes matches. His commitment to the sport is a testament to his discipline and determination, showcasing a side of him that extends beyond the silver screen.

Ghino’s presence isn’t confined to acting and presenting; it extends to the world of commercials. His face has become synonymous with renowned brands, making him a frequent and beloved character in the most famous supermarket commercial series in The Netherlands.
