Jasmine Sendar

Born in Willemstad, Curaçao, Jasmine Sendar is a versatile actress whose career spans over two decades. With her natural charisma and striking presence, Jasmine has become a prominent figure in Dutch and international entertainment.

Jasmine began her career as a model, a background that gave her the confidence and poise to transition seamlessly into acting. She made her acting debut in 1999 with a leading role as Bibi Zuidgeest in the Dutch soap opera Goudkust. Her portrayal of strong, relatable female characters became a hallmark of her work and established her as a household name in the Netherlands.

After Goudkust, Jasmine transitioned to other major roles, including in Onderweg naar Morgen and the popular Dutch soap opera Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden (GTST). Since 2023, she has played Elisa Rosalia in GTST, infusing the series with fresh energy and intrigue.

In addition to her television work, Jasmine has demonstrated her versatility across a variety of genres. She starred in the critically acclaimed crime drama series Grenslanders (Floodland, 2019) as Tara Dessel, a Rotterdam detective tasked with solving a complex cross-border mystery. Jasmine’s talent for drama was further showcased in the Flemish series Knokke Off (seasons 1 and 2, 2023 & 2024), where she portrayed Christine in a gripping storyline. That same year, she starred as Lieke in the heartfelt drama film Zomer in Frankrijk (Summer in France).

Jasmine’s range extends to comedy, as demonstrated in the sketch show Welkom Thuis (Welcome Home, 2024), where she humorously explored family dynamics in relatable yet exaggerated scenarios. She has also captivated younger audiences with appearances in the popular NPO Zapp series Brugklas and won hearts with her performance in Rudy’s Grote Kerstshow.

In cinema, Jasmine has made her mark with leading roles in films such as Candy & Bonita and Zomer in Frankrijk. She also starred in Volle Maan (2002), directed by Johan Nijenhuis, where she played the role of Natasja. Her ability to embody both lighthearted and intense roles has solidified her reputation in Dutch cinema. Upcoming projects include the Netflix film iHostage, highlighting her continued commitment to taking on diverse and challenging roles.

Beyond acting, Jasmine is also an accomplished voice artist. She has lent her voice to numerous series, animated films, games, and commercials, including Family Reunion, Coco Melon, Jurassic Park, Transformers, Pokémon, Karma, Seabeast, and many more.
