Martijn Kuiper

Martijn Kuiper is a versatile actor based in the vibrant cultural hub of Mexico-City. In 1990 he departed his hometown, Amsterdam (The Netherlands), to make Spain his new home. There, he immersed himself in the language and culture, ultimately making Spanish his own.

Fluent in Spanish, English, and Dutch, Martijn’s journey into the world of acting began under the tutelage of the renowned Jorge Eines in Madrid, where he dedicated four years to honing his craft.

Martijn’s presence on the stage has left an indelible mark, with notable performances in prestigious theaters across Spain and Mexico. One of his great achievements was a role in William Shakespeare’s timeless classic ‘’RICARDO III’’, showcased at the well-known Teatro Español in Madrid. He has also captivated audiences in theatre productions like “A FUEGO LENTO’’ at Teatro Milan (Mexico), among many other plays.

In the realm of television, Martijn has become a household name in Mexico where he moved in 2015 to work as a model and actor. He played in notable series such as “SR. ÁVILA” (HBO), directed by Fernando Rovzar, “INGOBERNABLE” (NETFLIX) under the direction of Pitipol Ybarra, “FALSA INDENTIDAD (NETFLIX) directed by Conrado Martinez, and “LA REINA DEL SUR 3″ (TELEMUNDO), directed by Diego Rendón.

Beyond his mastery of Spanish-speaking roles, Martijn embodied the role of Mr. Richardson, an English businessman, in the series “TRAVESURAS DE LA NIÑA MALA’ (TELEMUNDO), directed by Pavel Vazquez. Currently you can see Martijn in the popular Mexican series “EL SEÑOR DE LOS CIELOS 8’’

In cinemas, he brought his talents in films such as “TIEMPO SIN AIRE’’, “BELLA DE DÍA” and “RICOCHET’’. His role in Ricochet, directed by Rodrigo Fiallega, earned him the prestigious Best Actor Award at the Morelia International Film Festival.

Martijn is an accomplished photographer, a skilled horseback rider, and harbors a deep love for mountaineering and freediving.
